Subject to restrictions set forth in this Agreement, you may install the PRODUCT, including the SOFTWARE and WORKS onto your personally-owned devices. Watch Tower grants you the non-transferable right to use personally the PRODUCT, including the SOFTWARE and WORKS. You may not copy the PRODUCT, which includes the SOFTWARE and WORKS except as specifically provided in this Agreement.Ģ. This is an agreement between you and Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania ("Watch Tower") for use of JW Library. Creating a software program like JW Scheduler is more expensive, more time-consuming and more complex than building a large modern two-story house! It would cost at least $200,000 USD and take at least 1.5-2 years to re-write JW Scheduler for macOS. JW Scheduler has over 200,000 lines of code, thousands of methods, hundreds of classes and dozens of interconnecting modules. This is a very expensive and time-consuming process.
Any software program that must run on another Operating Systems must first be completely re-designed, re-written and re-compiled for that Operating System.

Presently there are 4 main Operating Systems used on desktop or laptop computers: Windows (75.4%), macOS (15.9%), Chrome OS (2.6%) and Linux (2.4%).Īpart from some web-based applications and in certain limited situations, software designed for one operating system cannot run on another operating system. Instead, we live in a world of competitive, greedy, monopolistic corporations who strive hard to increase profits and protect market share. In a perfect world, there would be one Operating System and one application framework that would allow any program to run on any computer or device.
We would love to be able to create a native macOS version of JW Scheduler, however at this time it simply isn’t feasible.
